Welcome,
I am Belen Berganza, ceramic artist based in Perth, Western Australia. I create unique, contemporary, sustainable handmade ceramics using porcelain and earthenware. I want to offer products that are not disposable, have a timelessness and are worthy of being passed on through the generations.
Every purchasing choice you make is a vote for the world you want.
You can enjoy these products with the peace of mind that each step in the process has been taken to create minimum harm to the earth, from sourcing the raw materials to the recycled packaging.
Each design starts with a master piece that I hand carve with very small tools that I make.
Then a mould is produced, the clay is hand pressed, the edges softened and then fired.
I use this process for the making of the Pebbles, Labyrinths, sacred geometry, wind chimes and jewellery.
Once the ceramic jewellery comes out of the kiln it is then setting in sterling silver which frames each individual piece of jewellery art.
I also make unique sculptures and in collaboration with Stephen Tero, porcelain and recycled materials lighting features.
I studied ceramics for four years in Madrid, which enabled me to combine my love of art with the formal training necessary to develop high quality ceramics.
